TAMITOS Move is not just a charity app. It records your runs, walks and rides, gives you groups, photos, comments and Instagram-ready share cards, and your movement works for families of children on the autism spectrum.
You run three times a week. Strava shows your pace, a few friends give kudos, and that's it. What if the same run also meant something to a real family? That is the idea behind TAMITOS Move.
Strava or TAMITOS Move: the short answer
TAMITOS Move is a free activity tracker with groups, leaderboards, goals and Instagram sharing. Unlike Strava, your movement earns points that support families of children on the autism spectrum. You don't have to quit Strava: your Strava workouts flow into TAMITOS Move through Health Connect and count automatically.
So this isn't an either/or choice. Keep recording in Strava if you love it. TAMITOS Move adds a second layer on top: a community that moves for a reason, and the stories of the people you are helping.

What Strava does better
Let's be fair. Strava is one of the biggest sports social networks in the world. It has segments, deep performance analytics, a route builder and direct links with almost every watch on the market. If you are training for a marathon and want to compare your splits on every segment, Strava will stay the stronger tool for that.
TAMITOS Move is not trying to clone Strava. It wants everyday movement to matter to someone else too, without you giving anything up.
How does tracking and Strava or Garmin sync work?
![]()
The violet START button in the middle of the bottom bar starts GPS recording for a run, walk or ride. At the finish you get your route map and a replay, you can take a selfie and share it right away.
If you already record somewhere else, nothing changes for you:
- Strava, Garmin Connect, Samsung Health, Fitbit: they write workouts into Health Connect on Android or Apple Health on iPhone. TAMITOS Move reads them when you open the app, and on Android also in the background about every 3 hours.
- Connection status: on Android the app shows whether steps, distance, workouts and calories are arriving, with step-by-step guides for Strava, Garmin, Samsung Health and Fitbit and a button that opens each app for you.
- No double counting: the same workout from your watch and your phone counts once, and every activity shows which app it came from.
- File import: FIT, GPX, TCX and ZIP files go into your private history. They earn no points, because a file can be edited and can't be verified.
Is TAMITOS Move social too? Groups, photos and comments

Yes. In the Together tab you create a group or join one. Pick a type (Friends, Company, School, Club), add a logo, make it public or private with an invite code, and set a monthly goal in points or kilometres.
Every run and every watch workout counts for all your groups automatically. You don't pick anything. In group posts you share a photo with a caption, friends comment, and only members can see it. It also works as a company challenge: one team, one goal, one progress bar.
Leaderboards are opt-in. If you join, others see your nickname and numbers, never your routes. Some boards (groups, companies, kilometres) are still rolling out.
Under Events you sign up for a group run with one tap and record it in the app on the day.
What does Instagram sharing look like?

You still get the good-looking post, now with a story behind it. After an activity, open the share composer and choose a format: Story and Reels 9:16, Post 1:1 or Facebook and X. Use your route map or a photo as the background, add transparent stickers or an animated route replay, then send it straight to an Instagram story or post, Facebook, WhatsApp, or copy a link.
You can share a family's story the same way. Your followers see not just your pace, but why you run.
How does the app keep you moving? Weekly goal, streak and points

- Weekly goal: you set it, and the app suggests a number based on your last 4 weeks. It sits on your home screen as a ring.
- Streak: a 6-week strip, a celebration when you hit your week, and a Sunday nudge when you are close.
- Movement points: 1 point is 1 MET minute, which means intensity times time. Thirty minutes of running is about 300 points, a brisk walk about 120. The daily cap is 480 points, so the app rewards consistency, not extremes.
- Books that unlock: move today and the next chapter of a TAMITOS book opens, audio version included.
No points for hand-typed entries, duplicates, movement older than 7 days or shorter than 5 minutes, or car speeds. Fair rules are what make the points mean something.
Who are you actually helping?

The Stories tab shows real families of children on the autism spectrum: photos, videos, what they are raising money for and how far they have come. Not an anonymous cause, but people with names and a clear goal.
Help reaches them in two ways:
- Movement: partner companies fund a support package, and you convert your points into euros and split them between families. We are still looking for that first partner, so right now points don't convert to euros. They are saved to your account and don't expire. We explain this in detail in TAMI points are not euros.
- Direct gifts: the Give directly button under each family opens a secure checkout in your browser with card, Apple Pay or Google Pay. You see who you are giving to and why before you pay. Direct gifts are shown separately, and the family receives both the movement support and every direct gift.
You can also give to the OZ TAMITOS transparent account at ČSOB, a Slovak bank, using the QR code on our website and in family stories. Everything is publicly visible.
